Theo Cook, robinson house studio’s Vice Principal and Senior Tutor, has finished uploading his three-part series on how he made his bronze scraper plane. He enjoys making his own hand tools and has made many in the past, but making a bronze one was a new challenge! In this series of videos, he tells you all about the process, how he figured out what he should do, and shares the mistakes he made along the way and what he learned from them. It’s a fantastic series that really gives you an insight into the problem-solving skills furniture makers and woodworkers need when embarking on brand new projects, and it’s filled with great tips, particularly if you’re interested in using metalwork in your furniture making.
